Scottish Labour Market Trends Vol.1 No.3

Recent trends continue to paint a positive picture of Scotland’s labour market. Unemployment fell over the 1st quarter of 2017, accompanied by rising employment. Whilst these figures are welcome, the lack of growth in the wider economy – coupled with rising inflation – means that there is little prospect of a sustained improvement in people’s take-home pay.
